Taj Ambassador, Delhi

Taj Ambassador, New Delhi - side angle - very cool!

You will be met at the airport by an “and Beyond” representative and taken to the Taj-Mahal Hotel in Delhi, where you will spend the night. The narrow alleys of Old Delhi hold secrets of the Mughal rule and the wide avenues of New Delhi are reminiscent of the British Raj.

Jaipur

You will have an early morning departure to the New Delhi Railway Station to travel by train to Jaipur on the Shatabdi Express. Jaipur is called the Pink City because of the use of pink plastered stone. The origins of the city can be traced back to 1699. Jaipur has massive forts,temples and palaces to tour. Spend two nights at the Hotel Trident.

Agra

After breakfast, you will be driven in your chauffeur driven, air-conditioned vehicle to Agra (approx. travel time five hours). After lunch you will tour Agra, visiting the Taj Mahal at sunset. The Taj Mahal is the mausoleum of Empress Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved spouse of Shah Jahan, who died in 1630. Return to your hotel, “The Trident”, for dinner.

Delhi

Trident Hotel, Delhi Gurgaon

Visit the Taj Mahal by sunrise. Return to your hotel for breakfast. In the morning visit the Agra Fort and Itmad-Ud-Daulah (Baby Taj). After lunch drive to Delhi (approx four and a half hours drive), where you will spend one night at The Trident, Gurgaon (the National Capital Region of Delhi)

Mahua Kothi, Bandhavgarh National Park

Mahua Kothi - Terrace Dining Another early morning start, to catch your flight to Jabalpur. On arrival you will be met and driven to Bandhavgarh National Park, (approx. 4 hours) a relatively small park with a thriving tiger population. On arrival, check into Mahua Kothi Lodge, where 12 kutiyas are scattered around an original homestead. Given over to natural forest, the vast grounds create a park-like atmosphere that guests are free to explore on bicycles. Explore the park in your morning and evening game drives.

Day of departure

Enjoy a game drive morning. In the afternoon, you will drive to Jabalpur to connect with your flight to Delhi, where you connect for your international flight from the same terminal.
